Speech Pathologist

Brent Diamond

Brent is a paediatric Speech Pathologist who is passionate about supporting and empowering children and families in the environments where they live, play and grow. With over 10 years’ experience across the disability and broader health sectors, Brent brings a well-rounded, holistic perspective to therapy that considers children within their family unit, community and everyday routines.

Brent has a particular interest in paediatric feeding, early language development and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). Her practice is grounded in developmental and relationship-based approaches and she values collaborative, child- and family-centred practice. Brent works in close partnership with families and other professionals, ensuring therapy is consistent, connected and meaningful across your child’s everyday environments. Brent’s approach supports families to embed intervention opportunities naturally throughout daily routines. She recognises families as the experts in their child and works alongside them to build confidence, capacity and connection.

Brent and her husband are raising their two young daughters on Gumbayngirr land. Outside of work, you’ll often find Brent at the beach with her family, exploring the treasures of Flat Top Island at low tide or at one of the local parks with a coffee in hand.

Occupational Therapist

Elle Keogh

Graduating in 2005, Elle has focused her career on paediatric practice and early childhood intervention. Her experience spans public health, not-for-profit organisations, and private practice. She is committed to evidence-informed, high-quality services and values the responsiveness of private practice in supporting reflective work, continuous quality improvement, and ongoing professional development.

Collaborative therapy is central to her work. Elle has held leadership roles establishing and overseeing multidisciplinary service models that enable transdisciplinary practice, family-led goal setting, and trauma-informed care. Her work is grounded in supporting meaningful participation for children and their families within everyday routines and community life. Parent coaching is a key area of practice, informed by Occupational Performance Coaching principles. Through collaborative goal setting, guided reflection, and structured problem-solving, she works alongside families to strengthen confidence in decision-making, adapt strategies, and support their child’s development within daily life. This approach recognises each family’s expertise and prioritises sustainable change in real-world contexts.

Her practice is guided by an understanding of each child’s strengths, relationships, daily roles and routines, and the contexts in which life unfolds - insights developed through working alongside families in the child’s natural environments, including home, education settings, and community contexts. This informs a top-down, occupation-focused approach to assessment and intervention.

Alongside continued development of transdisciplinary expertise, Elle prioritises maintaining strong discipline-specific occupational therapy practice through regular supervision and advanced professional development. She is experienced across a broad range of child-focused assessment and intervention approaches. Recent training includes the Perceive, Recall, Plan, Perform (PRPP) assessment and intervention model, Regulation: It’s a State of Mind, Occupational Roles of Infants, and The Power of Attachment. Her practice is guided by neuro-affirming principles and informed by people with lived experience.

Outside of work, she enjoys exploring the beautiful Coffs Coast, eating out, and tap dancing.

Physiotherapist

Kay Joseph

Kay is the founder and director of Kids in Motion.  She has been a physiotherapist for over 40 years, nearly all of this working with children.  Kay has a Master of Applied Science (Paediatric Physiotherapy), and is a specialist Paediatric Physiotherapist (as awarded by the Australian College of Physiotherapists in 2010).  There are only 4 specialist Paediatric Physiotherapists in Australia, we are so lucky to have one here in Coffs Harbour! Kay has worked in a variety of services – tertiary children’s hospitals, metropolitan hospitals, regional hospitals, community settings and the not-for-profit sector.  This experience is both here in Australia and overseas.

Kay has two special interest areas: One is Clubfeet, where Kay has completed research into the outcomes of these children in regional areas.  The other interest area is keeping kids with additional needs physically active.  Seeing the joy of movement in kids faces is one of the sparks that keeps Kay on the job!

Kay has a passion for educating the next generation of paediatric physiotherapists.  She is involved in student teaching as well as mentoring many early career physiotherapists in paediatrics.

When not at work playing with children, you will find Kay having a morning swim down at the Jetty, then with a coffee on the steps!
